Become a Member of the Department

The Stroudsburg Fire Department trains every Monday night starting at 6:45 PM, under the guidance of the officers of the department. All firefighters must complete a course of training entitled Essentials Of Firefighting as well as a probationary period. All drivers of equipment are required to complete the Emergency Vehicle Operations Course (EVOC) and be approved for apparatus use by a qualified officer before engaging in active driving. These training procedure are put into effect for the safety of the public and the company.
